The Firm
Stephen C. Bohn, Architect, Inc  is an architectural firm based in Tucson, Arizona that provides creative architectural services for residential and commercial projects,  specializing in custom homes and high-end remodeling and additions of all sizes.  Over 225 projects  have been built since the firm began practice in 1988.

After receiving an architectural degree from the University of Arizona in 1977, Stephen Bohn worked in local firms until branching out on his own, gaining actual construction experience and a better understanding of the building trades.  Extensive construction experience has nurtured a health respect for all building trades, national and local building codes during my 30 years of experience.

While specializing in residential addition and custom homes, SCB, Inc. also has extensive experience with CDBG (government grant) projects, modular construction and tenant improvements. Recent projects includes a 7,500 SF domestic crisis center, fire station and medical clinic in Tombstone, AZ, updated athletic field facilities in Nogales, AZ.,  published historical residential additions, a 3,600 SF custom home, 7,000 SF spec house in the exclusive Canyons subdivision and addition/remodels projects ranging form $30,000 to over $500,000.

The firm’s strength lies in the ability to establish positive working relationships with clients, interior designers, builders and related professionals.  On-site observation service is provided during the construction phase for all projects.

Philosophy Statement
SCB, Inc provides a hands-on team approach to the project from beginning of the design through completion of construction. While understanding and listening to the Client’s needs, a program is developed outlining the project’s  requirements, cost and schedule.  We achieve a structure that compliments the site and avoids the “rubber stamp” effect of mass-produced structures through our appreciation, respect and understanding of traditional and new building materials, passive solar techniques, the Southwest desert environment, and most importantly, the Client.  Whether the project is a small addition or large custom home, SCB, Inc. strives to develop unique, attractive and functional structures  with comfortable and flowing spaces that capitalize on the site’s views, orientation, native land forms and vegetation.  My goal on every project is to create a product with "curb appeal" as well as value.  I strive to provide the Client with both a return on their investment as well as an end result which will enhance their lifestyle.  I take pride in all of my projects, whether it is a porch addition or custom home.

Professional Services
Complete architectural services, document production,  design review and consultation are provided .  SCB, Inc. provides design renderings and professional, informative and detailed drawings and specifications to ensure that the quality and attention to detail are followed through to the completion of the built project.  Communication with the Client and building trades is our priority.
